Belle's Cabbage Slaw

Happy Independence Day!  If you are cooking for a party, here's a party recipe for you:



Belle’s Cabbage Slaw – Sept 1962

4 cups (or more) chopped cabbage
1 cup sugar
½ cup each vinegar, Mazola oil and water
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients and chill. May be kept in refrigerator in covered dish for two or three weeks.
