Date Drops

Date Drops.....def a different generation....

½ cup softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
Add egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup dates

Cream ½ cup softened butter and 1 cup brown sugar.
Add egg and ½ teaspoon vanilla. Beat well.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture with 1/3 cup sour cream. Stir in 1 cup dates cut up. Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 400 8-10 minutes. 4 ½ dozen.
